(Generally, foreign states are immune from the jurisdiction of U.S. courts, including state courts, except in certain situations, such as when the foreign state has waived immunity.) </p> <p>The bill also makes inadmissible into the United States a non-U.S. national (alien under federal law) who has engaged in certain serious and extraterritorial counter-dissident activities on behalf of a foreign government, including actions to harass or harm journalists or activists.</p>","updateDate":"2025-01-03T08:02:03Z"},"markets":[],"stateBills":[],"meta":{"sources":["congress.gov"],"latencyMs":420,"ts":"2026-04-15T20:36:38.099Z"},"nextActions":{"inspect":[],"related":[{"description":"Search related legislation","method":"GET","url":"/api/public/query-gov?q=Jamal%20Khashoggi%20Protection%20for%20Dissidents%20and%20Journalists%20Ac"}]}}
