Temporary, interim, or placeholder Speakers appointed before the election will not count. If this election does not take place or the results of this election are not known by January 31, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on official information from the New York City Council or a consensus of credible reporting.
