Analysis
Mexico's 48¢ price reflects a competitive but not dominant positioning in Group A, with an extremely high implied yield of 557% suggesting substantial uncertainty or potential mispricing relative to fundamental expectations. The market shows healthy liquidity with $11M open interest but modest 24-hour volume of $24.6K, and the tight 2¢ spread indicates reasonable efficiency despite the elevated 212% realized volatility. With 71 days to expiration and information arriving at 1.0 per hour, this market remains highly sensitive to team news, injury updates, and qualifying performance, though the neutral regime score suggests current pricing reflects balanced sentiment rather than directional conviction.
Resolution rules
This market will resolve according to the team that wins Group A in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage, scheduled for June 11-27, 2026. If multiple teams tie as group winners, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
