Analysis
The Brewers' NLCS odds are priced at an extremely depressed 6¢, implying just a 6% probability of winning the championship series, yet the Yes contract shows an extraordinary 2878% implied yield—a massive asymmetry suggesting either severe mispricing or deep skepticism about Milwaukee's 2026 prospects. The market shows concerning illiquidity with only $40 in 24-hour volume against $12.3M open interest, and the price has already declined 25% over seven days (from 8¢ to 6¢), indicating potential capitulation selling rather than fundamental conviction. With 199 days to expiration and a neutral regime, this appears to be a speculative contrarian play rather than a liquid, efficient market.
Resolution rules
This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 National League Championship Series. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 National League Championship Series per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 National League Championship Series is cancelled, postponed after November 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
