Analysis
The 72¢ price reflects strong conviction that The Deep dies in Season 5, with a notably asymmetric risk profile: the "Yes" side offers 427% annualized yield versus 3462% for "No," suggesting the market heavily discounts the alternative outcome. With only 30 days to resolution and the season finale airing 5/20/2026, the extreme realized volatility of 522% and high info arrival rate of 2.5/hour indicate this market is highly sensitive to episode releases, though the flat 7-day price movement (74¢ to 74¢) suggests recent stabilization despite the underlying uncertainty. The modest $5.4k daily volume and $1.4M open interest create some liquidity constraints relative to the outsized yield differential, which could present arbitrage opportunities as the finale approaches.
Resolution rules
"The Boys: Season 5" is scheduled to air weekly, beginning April 8, 2026, and ending with the finale on May 20, 2026 This market will resolve to “Yes” if the specified character dies during "The Boys: Season 5". Deaths occurring in any timeline or dimension depicted in "The Boys: Season 5" will count toward resolution. Flashback scenes showing a character alive before their death, as well as dream sequences, hallucinations, or visions of dead characters, will not affect resolution. Characters who were already confirmed dead before "The Boys: Season 5" begins will not count toward this market’s resolution.
