Analysis

This market predicts that Snowflake will emphasize share repurchases during their next earnings call, currently priced at 92% likelihood. The high probability reflects market expectations around capital allocation priorities, possibly driven by strong balance sheet conditions or shareholder return strategies announced in recent quarters. The leading probability could shift based on actual financial results reported before the call, any strategic announcements about M&A or reinvestment plans, or changes in market conditions affecting buyback execution. Snowflake's next quarterly earnings call will resolve this outcome when management discusses capital deployment decisions and provides forward guidance.

  • Snowflake's current cash position and free cash flow generation relative to stated buyback authorization size
  • Recent quarterly earnings results and whether management has already signaled capital return priorities in prior guidance
  • Competitive positioning in the data cloud market and whether organic investment needs have increased or decreased
  • Broader macro conditions affecting technology sector buyback sentiment between now and the earnings date
  • Historical pattern of Snowflake's earnings call rhetoric—whether management typically emphasizes repurchases or other strategic topics

How we compute these odds

SimpleFunctions aggregates live prediction-market contracts from Kalshi and Polymarket. Each slug groups contracts that resolve on the same underlying event, identified by venue event_id.

For binary slugs, the headline probability is the liquidity-weighted mid-price across all bound contracts. For multi-outcome slugs (e.g. elections with 3+ candidates), the headline is the leader’s price; we never arithmetically average disjoint outcomes — that would produce a number with no real-world meaning.

Snapshots refresh every 5 minutes during market hours; daily aggregates are computed at 04:00 UTC. The 30-day sparkline is drawn from per-ticker daily means stored in market_indicator_daily; 24h delta and movement events are derived from the same source.
